The face of man who attacked teenage girl

Do you recognise this man? Police want to speak to him following an attack on a teenage girl.

At about 10.10pm on Saturday, 7 July, a 16-year-old girl was walking near Selkirk Street, Cheltenham when she thought she was being watched by an older man.

The girl was worried so flagged down a passing motorist and got into the passenger seat of his car.

The older man leaned in through the open window and punched the girl in the face. As the car pulled away he struck again, this time hitting the car.

The man is described as being white, in his late 60s, 5ft 7ins/8ins tall with broad shoulders and slim waist. He was wearing a grey vest top and navy blue shorts.

The girl was not physically injured but was very shaken by the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the assault, or thinks they recognise the man from the e-fit, is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 551 of 7 July.
