Gloucestershire Business News

Do you need to tell everyone you are open for business?

If you need to let Gloucestershire know you are open for business through the current crisis, we could be your answer.

Figures for our website are going through the roof, prompted no doubt by a mixture of work-from-homers keen to keep abreast of the county during the crisis and our daily email newsletters.

For some businesses their own social media and PR spreads the word - up to a point, but for many this is a new situation - and we understand that getting word out to everyone you are still here alive and kicking is vital.

Purse strings are being tightening by many people's customers, including our own, and we perfectly understand what that means financially. In that respect, we are all in the same boat.

Which is why this pitch is double edged (and we make no apologies for it, even though we wish it could be otherwise). But we will work hard to make sure it gives you great payback - for your profile and thereby your business. We also have almost 50,000 social media connections to share your story with.

It is sincerely meant to help, albeit both of us.

"We are offering a special during the coronavirus - to keep you going and to help keep us going, but importantly to get word out there that your business is up and running and available too," said Mark Owen, editor of Punchline-Gloucester.com.

"While we specialise in news, we have opened the door to special £100 (plus VAT) advertorials - but strictly for small companies and strictly to tell readers what your business is, when it was founded, what it does, what it offers, and how you are coping during the crisis, what measures you are taking to keep the wheels turning and some contact details

"We will then run the story on our daily email newsletter, which goes out to 7,000 subscribers daily, linking back to the post on our Punchline-Gloucester.com website, which recently clocked 170,000 unique visitors a month."

It is a sure-fire way to reach people, and spread the word about where Gloucestershire businesses are, who they are, and where you can reach them to support.

It won't make us rich - it will help keep us going - and it will helpfully help keep our businesses rolling, and we would really, really dearly love to make that happen for everyone.

Don't worry if you have never written a press release before. Give it a go. Copy should be no more than 275 words long and have one picture of you or your team.
