Taste of the world back on city streets

The centre of Gloucester will welcome food from around the globe when the Continental Street Market returns this week.

Around 25 traders will set up stalls in Eastgate and Southgate Streets from October 28-31 with a range of international food, as well as craft items.

It is the market's third visit to Gloucester in as many months with some permanent food retailers unhappy at a lack of notice and advertising ahead of the increased competition.

The Continental Street Market, which had previously visited the city in 2018, is run by RR Events.

A statement on the RR Events Facebook page said: "Traders from around the world will be on hand to display the best products that their respective countries have to offer.

"The market will have a wide array of products on offer, from unusual craft items to food traders offering the best hot and cold produce from their native countries."
