Tapi set to open more ex-Carpetright stores

Tapi has confirmed it is opening four more former Carpetright stores this month.

The flooring specialist, which has stores in Cheltenham and Gloucester, will open in Basildon, Coventry, Crawley and Leeds Birstall, taking its total to 25 ex-Carpetright stores this spring, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Tapi, which has more than 170 UK stores, acquired Carpetright's brand, two of its warehouses and 54 retail units out of administration nearly a year ago.

Carpetright had 273 stores, including one in Cheltenham. Tapi was a rival brand which stemmed from the same founding family as the collapsed retailer.
