Cirencester Rugby has been given a style and sponsorship lift by the town's tailor to the stars.

Barrington Ayre have joined a list of new sponsors for the successful rugby football team and their name will emblazon the shorts of all of the club's teams.

Tom Wharton of Barrington Ayre said: "I hope they will look as good off the pitch as they do on it and perhaps use some of our bespoke tailoring.

"I have been a fan of the team for years and have just finished three years as the official tailor for Gloucester (RFC) so am using this experience to hopefully bring success to my local team," he added.

Already known for producing the clothing for sports stars such as footballer Robbie Savage and ex England cricketer Michael Vaughan, Barrington Ayre are delighted to now turn their attention to the oval ball. Tom Wharton said: "As a Cirencester based tailor we are incredibly proud to have been asked to get involved."
