Happy Valley actor Susan Lynch joined hospice staff and volunteers to celebrate the opening of Longfield's new furniture shop and warehouse on the Kingfisher Business Park in Thrupp.
The new premises feature a furniture showroom which will be open to the public, a donation hub, a large warehouse storage area and ample parking. An upstairs mezzanine also houses the hospice's growing e-commerce team.
Laura Owen, Head of Retail, said: "We have spent the last four months organising the transformation of the new premises and we're so excited to have officially opened our warehouse after months of planning.
"We're especially delighted that Susan has come to cut the ribbon for us."
Just off the London Road outside Stroud, the new premises is easily accessible so locals can drop off their donations in bulk, she said.
"We've now got a fantastic furniture showroom where customers can browse and try before they buy. We're really proud of how it's turned out!"
The hospice, based in Minchinhampton, has 18 charity shops across the county selling a range of items including clothes, books, toys and bric-a-brac.
Dursley-based actor Susan Lynch said: "I'm really touched to be asked to open this fantastic facility in Thrupp. I urge people to pop in and donate furniture they no longer need and also pick up anything at an affordable rate, which in turn will help support the wonderful service the staff provide at Longfield Hospice, where they help care and support more than 2,500 people across Gloucestershire for free in such difficult times for patients and their families."
Longfield is also seeking volunteers to help in the warehouse, furniture shop and donation hub. For further details on these roles, where to find Longfield's new warehouse, and how to donate items visit longfield.org.uk/shops.
