A Gloucestershire homeless prevention charity have received a significant early Christmas present from a county business.
Cirencester Signpost have received supplies ranging from crackers to napkins from near neighbours Spot-On-Supplies to aid a series of charity gatherings in the next month.
Based at Ashcroft Methodist Church in the Cotswold town, Cirencester Signpost offer emotional and practical support to those without homes.
Each year, they host a Christmas Community Meal, which this year takes place on December 16 and is already fully-booked for both attendees and volunteers.
The charity also host a Big Breakfast every Saturday at St Peter's Hall in the town and Good Neighbour meals and events on Monday and Wednesdays at The Bothy on Ashcroft Road.
Like many charities Cirencester Signpost rely on collaboration and support from local businesses and the wider community.
They receive surplus food thanks to donations from Marks and Spencer and Waitrose with Spot-On-Supplier, who are based on Love Lane, the latest to come on board.
Their donation includes goods such as over 7,000 napkins, hundreds of metres of table coverings, 4,000 paper cups, and many other Festive essentials.
Spot-on-Supplies director Darren Moore says: 'We usually sell these products to customers who host glamorous Christmas parties, but we felt we wanted to make a donation to a community charity, so they can provide guests with a great Christmas atmosphere.'
Managing director Roger Moore added: "As a local, family-owned company, we understand the value of the community.
"We usually keep a low profile but we feel that this charity need to be more widely known.
"Maybe our donation will encourage other companies and/or individuals to donate funds or other types of supplies."
