Supermarkets recall breakfast treats

Three of the UK's supermarkets are recalling pain au chocolat over mould fears.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an alert over the St Pierre 6 Pains Au Chocolat, sold at Asda, Sainsbury's and Ocado for £2.

On its website, the FSA said: "The possible presence of mould may make the product unsafe to eat.

"If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to your nearest store for a full refund. You do not need your receipt."

The products affected have best before dates of September 17, September 25 and October 1 2023.
