Superdry on the hunt for new store location

Cheltenham-based fashion giant Superdry is reportedly looking for a new site for its London store, after ending the lease on its Regent Street premises earlier this month.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Julian Dunkerton, the retailer opened its Regent Street store in 2011 but is now looking to relocate within the city.

Fashion news website Drapers reported that Superdry is currently looking at a variety of properties in London, including Forever 21's former Oxford Street store, which closed its doors in 2020 when the business went into administration.

A spokesman from Superdry told Drapers the business could confirm the relocation of its London flagship and it had agreed terms with the landlord to surrender the lease on its Regent Street premises.

A statement read: "We remain totally committed to London and are in advanced talks on securing a new West End store which will be a global flagship for the brand, showcasing our new ranges and reflecting our commitment to sustainability."
