Sudden closure of Cheltenham fashion store
By Laura Enfield | 18th September 2023
Fashion retailer Phase Eight has shut the doors of its Cheltenham store.

The shop in The Promenade has been cleared of stock with only empty rails remaining.
There was no public announcement from the company before the store shut and on Monday (Spet 18) it was still listed on the brand's website as a current location.
The news was made public via a sign on the door of the shop which announced "This store is closed" and thanked customers for their support over the years.
It added: "We are very sorry to say goodbye to our Cheltenham store, but we hope you will visit us in Worcester, our nearest Phase Eight stand-alone store."
Customers will have to travel 25 miles to get there.

The brand's concessions in John Lewis and House of Fraser in Cheltenham remain open.
The outlet store at Gloucester Quays also remains open.
It is not known whether staff from the former Cheltenham store have been redeployed or made redundant.
Punchline has contacted Phase Eight for a comment.
