Stroud Valleys Project fundraising at the double!
By David Wood | 18th April 2023
Local conservation and community charity Stroud Valleys Project (SVP) has once again been selected for the Big Give Green Match Fund.
The eco-focused crowdfunder selects the very best environmental project across the world.
SVP's CEO Clare Mahdiyone explained: "We're aiming to raise £2,500 to give Stroud a biodiversity boost, so we'll be working with community members to create and improve green spaces across the Stroud district to improve them, for local people and for our planet.
"We know that times are tough, so donating during our Green Match Fund appeal is brilliant because every pound you give will be doubled by the Big Give's Champions - we stand to raise £5,000 in total, which would mean we can step up our work to keep Stroud's people and nature thriving together.
"If you love the work we do at SVP, please donate to our Big Give crowdfunder between Thursday 20 and Thursday 27 April at Biodiversity Boost for Stroud (biggive.org) or visit our website at stroudvalleysproject.org/news ."
This year's Earth Day falls on Saturday 22 April, right in the middle of Big Give Green Match Fund week, and SVP are teaming up with the Museum in the Park for a free family-friendly event that celebrates our local wildlife. Visit stroudvalleysproject.org/events to find out more.
What's more, the charity has a very exciting prize for generous rock fans who donate £10 or more.
"If you donate over £10, you can choose to go into the hat to win a prize worth nearly £400: TWO weekend tickets to local rock festival 2000 Trees!" says Clare. "If you'd like a chance of winning this amazing prize, you'll need to follow us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter."
Support SVP during the Green Match Fund by giving what you can afford to support communities and wildlife in Stroud district - and knowing it will be DOUBLED by the Big Give Champions!
