Motorcycle firm kick-starts expansion

A well-known Gloucestershire motorcycle business is gearing up for further expansion after taking on board £225,000 of investment.
Stroud-based Roadrunner Motorcycles Ltd is driving forward ambitious growth plans and creating new jobs after a major funding injection.
The motorcycle supply and maintenance firm has used a quarter of a million pound of funding from NatWest to acquire its headquarters on Fromeside Industrial Estate, increase its workforce and purchase additional work space.
In keeping with its growth Roadrunner has boosted its workforce to four and plans to double the size of its showroom and garage space.
Lawrence Butcher, director at Roadrunner Motorcycles Ltd, said: "We have ambitious plans for the business over the next 12 months and the funding from NatWest has played a significant part in kickstarting these plans.
"By taking ownership of our premises, we can free up cash flow and divert it into expanding the business, both in terms of the size of our location and our workforce."
Established in 2007, Roadrunner Motorcycles Ltd provides servicing and MOTs, as well as a sector hub for motorbike enthusiasts to gain expert knowledge and learn about cutting edge bike accessories.
The deal was referred by B2B Commercial Mortgages and NatWest Broker Development Manager, Andre Parcian, who supported the deal activity alongside NatWest Relationship Manager Annette Shinner.
