Inchbrook Mills-based business Soap Folk attended a Spring Showcase event at Downing Street, to fly the flag for British food and consumer goods and showcase small independent businesses.
Soap Folk were one of only ten British businesses chosen to take part in a street market on May 9 hosted by the UK Prime Minister, which also included stallholders: IGS Vertical Farming from Scotland, Tregothnan Tea and Flawsome! Drinks from Wales, amongst others.
Stroud MP, Siobhan Baillie was also on hand to support Soap Folk, help show off their products and introduce the team to cabinet members including the International Trade Secretary - Anne-Marie Trevelyan, as well as Victoria Prentis - Minister of State at DEFRA and Jo Churchill MP.
Soap Folk founder Fiona McBryde said: "It was a surreal experience, particularly chatting to the Prime Minister but it was great to have an opportunity to show off our small business to a wider audience and to be able to fly the creative flag for the Stroud Valleys as well as UK small businesses. "
Boris Johnson said: "Every corner of the UK is filled with exceptionally talented businesses, and I'm delighted that today we have been able to showcase some of the best of what this country has to offer."
