Store goes on market and is the perfect place to chill out

A major chill store facility has become available in Gloucester.

The 3,868 sq ft unit, has been brought to the market by real estate services company Colliers International, jointly with Kurt Wyman Surveyors, and is available on a leasehold basis for a term to be agreed.

They say the facility on Goodridge Business Park is expected to benefit from increasing recent activity in the Gloucester industrial market.

The chill store comprises of five dedicated preparation and production areas, three fitted with duel discharge coolers 0 to -30C and 3 chilled storage units with direct fan coolers 0 to -30C.

Tom Watkins, associate director in the South West industrial and logistics team at Colliers International, said: "The immediate area is experiencing a shortage of industrial stock below 5,000 sq ft and this rare cold store facility provides a unique opportunity in the market, and would suit multiple occupiers looking for additional space such as local food distributors, pharmaceuticals and many more.

"This bespoke unit would always have attracted interest in its own right, but high levels of demand for industrial premises in the Gloucester area mean it could also appeal to anyone seeking a small, well-located facility with good access to Gloucester city centre and the M5.

"Gloucester was recently identified in industrial research published by Colliers International as having experienced the highest percentage increase in the South West region for rents for large secondary units, with a rise of 25 per cent to £6.25 per sq ft."

The leasehold unit is located on Goodridge Business Park, an established estate adjacent to the A430, approximately four miles south of Gloucester city centre, and three miles from Junction 12 of the M5 motorway.

There have been two recent lettings on the estate, where local occupiers include Amazon book depositories, Mercury Glazing, Hydroscand and Principality Plastics.
