Stonehouse business park plans expansion

Plans to extend a suite of offices that is already the home for 30 start-ups and small businesses have been approved by Stroud District Council.

The Westend Office Suites in Grove Lane, Westend will be extended to house a further eight businesses.

For more than half of the businesses currently using the Westend, it is their first premises and therefore plays a vital role in the development of the company.

That has led to what the proprietor calls a "community feel to the site" that is enhanced by regular events organised to help the tenants meet and share their experiences.

Proprietor Russell Warner said: "This is a fantastic place to work. Businesses like the fact that the site has been completed to a high standard in a convenient quiet location.

"It's great for creativity you can look out of the window and you can see fields, farm animals and trees."

Located close to Junction 13 of the M5 Motorway, the offices back on to green fields, giving the charm of a rural setting alongside the convenience of good road links.

The suites are already home to 30 businesses from accountants and acupuncturists to professional firms and health and beauty specialists.
