Major county employer to stage careers event

Stagecoach West is on a recruitment drive this weekend, rolling out a mini careers fair in the way it knows best - on the buses.

On Saturday (June 8) the business, which employs 530 staff in Gloucestershire and runs 306 buses, is inviting everyone along to the new Gloucester Transport Hub to find out more about 'driving' their careers forward.

Operations manager, James Williams, will be on standby at the bus station, opposite the city train station, to answer questions about careers with Stagecoach West.

"Come and talk to us about our opportunities to join the Stagecoach team," said Mr Williams, who is based at the Gloucester head office of the business, which celebrates 25 years this year.

"If you love driving, are passionate about excellent customer service and can deliver service with a smile, we could have a job for you.

"We have full time and part time driving roles available, with flexible hours to fit around you. We offer great pension benefits, competitive holidays and good rates of pay. Plus, you get free bus travel in your local area for yourself and a companion.

"For bus driver roles training is provided - so all you need is a driving licence. Just think of the career possibilities."

Pop along to the Station Road, Gloucester Transport Hub, from 10am to 3pm on Saturday (June 8).

Mr Williams and Stagecoach graduate trainee Rebecca Palmer will be among staff on hand to answer questions.
