Stagecoach West staff launch Christmas bus for charity

Bus drivers from Stagecoach West will be raising the roof this Christmas to help a deserving children's charity.

The 15-strong Stagecoach West team will be singing carols when they tour the region on a specially decorated Christmas Bus complete with sparkling illuminations.

Dressed in Christmas costumes, the festive Stagecoach singers have been busy rehearsing for the tour and hope to raise thousands of pounds for the fantastic charity, the James Hopkins Trust.

To join in the festive fun visit the Stagecoach West Christmas Bus at the following locations:

Sunday 10th December - Hatherley Manor - 1pm - 5pm

Monday 11th December - Cribbs Causeway - 6pm - 9pm

Thursday 14th December - Regent Arcade, Cheltenham - 7pm - 9pm

Friday 15th December - Gloucester Quays - 7pm - 9pm

Wednesday 20th December - Kings Square, Gloucester - 12noon - 2pm

Thursday 21st December - Swindon Designer Outlet - 6pm - 8pm

Stagecoach West's managing director Rupert Cox said: "We are delighted that so many of our staff have once again entered into the Christmas spirit and given up their time to support such a worthwhile cause.

"The James Hopkins Trust is a local charity providing respite care for babies and children with life limiting or life threatening conditions. Since the charity was founded they've provided free support to over 500 children and families.

"Any donation made will be greatly valued by the charity. For instance just £10 will pay for a child to enjoy one hour in their multi-sensory room, whilst £15 will pay for one hour of nursing respite in the child's family home.

"They are the only local charity that are able to provide this level of care, which is why their work is so important and Stagecoach West is keen to support them."

To donate £3 to the James Hopkins Trust, text CBUS65 £3 to 70070. They will receive 100% of every donation. Or you can help raise more money by visiting the Stagecoach West fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/stagecoachwest and sharing it on social media.
