Specialist retailer reels in big sales rise

Bucking the high street trend, a specialist fishing tackle retailer, has seen sales rise by 39 per cent over the last year.

Angling Direct, which has a store in Swindon and several stores in the Birmingham area, has seen in-store sales rise 50 per cent to £19.7 million and online sales rise 30 per cent to £22.3 million in the year to 31s January.

International sales were up 98 percent to £4.66 million, with the company shipping to 49 countries worldwide, as reported by The Sun.

Angling Direct imports its products from the Far East and doesn't anticipate any supply problems due to Brexit.
