Shoe store walks to new location

Independent family owned shoe store Cotter's Shoes in Gloucester is relocating to a larger store but remaining loyal to the city.

The current Cotter's Shoes store based in Northgate Street will open a new larger store on Westgate Street next Tuesday.

Co-owner of Cotter's Shoes Jane Smith said: "We hope that our loyal customers will return to us so we can keep providing them with excellent customer service."

The owners also chose the new shop as it had a larger stockroom and a bigger floor space which allows them to retail a greater range of products and a better store set up to offer the customers an enhanced retailing experience.

Trading for three generations, Cotter's Shoes is a family run business which was established in 1947 and has been providing value for money and quality branded footwear ever since.

Co-owner Oliver Smith said: "My parents and I are very excited to be re-opening; we believe it will be a nice boost to Westgate Street and we hope our customers will enjoy the new location just as much as we do."
