Screwfix to trial superfast delivery service

Screwfix is set to pilot a scheme which will see it deliver products to customers in as little as 30 minutes.

The DIY chain, which has stores in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Stroud and Tewkesbury, has partnered with delivery courier service Gophr to test out the service in Bristol, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Screwfix already offers click-and-collect within one minute, while its sister store B&Q offers click-and-collect within an hour.

Screwfix has already revealed plans to open 40 new stores in the UK this year, creating up to 500 jobs across by the end of January next year.
