Sales soar at online mattress company

A direct-to-consumer online retailer of mattresses, pillows and duvets has seen an 86 per cent rise in sales.
Emma Mattress was only founded in 2015 and just has completed its second financial year of profitability, with a record £125 million (€150 million) in sales, as reported by Retail Gazette.
The company ships to 20 countries worldwide, including the UK and is now the most searched mattress in the UK.
Emma Mattress has one of the lowest return rates in the industry, at less than five per cent. And returned mattresses don't go to waste - the company either donates them or disposes of them responsibly through its partners.
As buying a mattress without seeing it can seem like a daunting prospect, the company also has more than 1000 'touchpoints' across Europe with retailer partners, including John Lewis in the UK.
