Sales rocket at Cornish fashion retailer

Cornish women's fashion retailer, Seasalt, saw sales grow by over a third during the Christmas trading period.

The retailer has a store in Cirencester and the brand is also stocked at stores in Stroud and Newent. For the five weeks ending 5th January, sales were up by 35 per cent, as reported by Retail Gazette.

In-store sales increased by 31 per cent, with online sales climbing by 39 per cent. It seems that even in other countries, shoppers want a little bit of Cornwall in their fashion, with international sales also up by 35 per cent.

The company is particularly pleased with its year-on-year rise in in-store sales. It credits its success to maintaining a full-price strategy, with scheduled discounting delayed until just before Christmas.
