Sales figures look rosy for county kitchenware retailer

Gloucester-based Kitchen and dining ware retailer ProCook has announced financial year end figures showing strong online sales and a continued consumer appetite for high quality cookware.

Overall sales for the financial year 2017/18 were up 20 per cent including a 10 per cent like-for-like increase, taking the total revenue for the business to over £25 million.

The growth has been attributed by the company to a strong performance in their ecommerce channels which grew by 43 per cent. Building on their expansion into Germany, the kitchenware brand entered the French market via Amazon in April 2017 and began shipping to six further European countries toward the latter half of the year.

The company says it worked hard to address challenges being faced across the retail sector, opening 7 new stores during the period.

CEO Stephen Sanders said "This strong level of progress is particularly pleasing after a very tough 1st quarter which saw overall growth at only 5 per cent and -3 per cent like-for-like. It shows the ongoing strength of the brand and justifies the investment across the whole of the business".
