Rotary Club seeks Christmas sponsors

The Rotary Club of Gloucester is calling on the business community to raise money for charity at Christmas.

The Rotary Club will again be turning the Christmas tree outside Gloucester Guildhall into a Tree of Light. People can write a message to a loved one on a white ribbon which they then tie to the tree, so it is decorated in a unique and meaningful way. The Rotary Club collects donations to raise money for the Rotary charities and last year raised more than £6,000.

This year the Tree of Light will be switched on at 4.30pm on Saturday 25th November; there will be performances by the tree that afternoon and again on Saturday 9th December.

The Rotary Club is still looking for performers for the two dates. Anyone interested should contact lise@lisenoakes.org.uk

Donations can be made at http://www.treeoflight.co.uk/
