An Indian takeaway with branches in Cheltenham and Newent has been served two major industry awards.

Rogan Josh was the winner of both the South West Takeaway of the Year and the South West Takeaway and Home Delivery of the Year in the English Curry Awards

Josh Krori, the owner of Rogan Josh, dedicated the award to his staff: "For me the ultimate accolade any establishment like ours can have is our excellent customer feedback and the fact that our customers keep on coming back to us time and again.

"Nonetheless the fact that we have won not just one but two prestigious awards is fantastic news.

"This kind of independent endorsement can make a real difference when for example new people move to the area and they look for some form of evidence of the quality of food and service, before trying us for the first time."

He added: "The real vote of thanks though should go to my talented team of chefs and staff. The quality of our food and excellent customer service were undoubtedly key factors in us picking up these awards.

"I am immensely proud of our team and the food we deliver and it is their hard work and dedication that sets us apart from our competitors. This is the first Award of this kind that we have won and I am sure it won't be the last."
