Rise in new businesses on eBay

New businesses set up on eBay have gone up dramatically since the start of the pandemic.

Despite supply chain pressures, small businesses on the online marketplace have found markets for their goods around the world, as reported by The Sun.

Sellers have exported millions of items already this year, with clothes, books, vinyl records and video games among the most popular.

Scotland has seen a 90 per cent rise in small businesses on eBay in the last two years, with Wales seeing a 77 per cent increase.

EBay said small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy and make an essential contribution to international trade.
