Record sales for Topps Tiles

It's been a record year of sales for Topps Tiles - with branches in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and Cirencester.

Like-for-like sales were up 19.6%, despite trade restrictions throughout the second quarter of the financial year ended 2nd October.

The firm made an adjusted profit before tax of £15.3 million, up from £3.6 million, the previous year.

Group revenue was £228 million up from £198.2 million, an 18.3% growth.

Rob Parker, chief executive, said: "Our full year results demonstrate the strength of our position as the UK's leading tile specialist and the potential of the business when it has been able to trade without restriction.

"Despite significant disruption for a three month period, during which our stores were unable to welcome homeowners, we delivered record revenues for the year."

He added that the successful development of the company's digital platform during the year would be expanded in 2022.
