Record sales for fashion retailer

Global fashion giant, Mango, recorded its strongest-ever first half sales this year.

The Spanish retailer, which has stores in Bristol and Worcester, made £1.3bn (€1.54bn)in the first six months of the year - a 6.3% increase on the same period last year, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Mango said its value proposition and new collections, including the collaboration with Victoria Beckham, were well received.

Womenswear sales were up 4%, hitting their highest level ever, while sales of Mango Men soared by 21% and childrenswear and Mango Teen sales increased by 11%.

The retailer has opened 57 stores worldwide so far in 2024, taking its total to 2,743, as it targets more than 2,800 stores by the end of the year. It plans to open more than 20 new UK stores this year.

Mango is working towards hitting sales of at least £3.36bn (€4bn) by 2026.
