Gloucestershire-based accountancy firm Hazlewoods' corporate finance team are celebrating record-breaking results, after advising on transactions worth more than £1 billion in 2021.
In a year that saw the business recognised as 'Advisory Firm of the Year' at the Business Leader Awards and named the sixth most active adviser in the UK by Experian, it's corporate finance team has completed 170 deals with a combined value of £1.074 billion.
This figure is up 28 per cent on the number of deals completed in 2020, and transaction values increased by 41 per cent on the previous year. (In 2020, a total of 133 transactions worth £763 million were finalised).
In line with increased deal activity, the corporate finance team has grown significantly over the last 12 months and now comprises five partners and more than 40 professionals, with further expansion plans for 2022.
Paul Fussell, corporate finance partner at Hazlewoods, said: "This is the best set of results we have ever achieved in the Company's 100-year history and it is down to hard work and dedication from everyone in the team.
"We are delighted to have guided so many clients through the exciting process of buying or selling a business and look forward to building on these achievements in the next 12 months.
"The expansion of the team ensures we have the expertise and capacity to deal with more complex transactions while continuing to offer an innovative partner-led, client-focused service."
