ProCook appoints chief marketing officer

Gloucester-based kitchenware retailer ProCook has announced the appointment of a chief marketing officer.

Angela Porter is said to be an accomplished marketing director and brand strategist with more than 15 years' experience at senior level in the consumer, retail and e-commerce sectors.

She joins Precook following her position of brand marketing director at GVC Ladbrokes Coral where she re-defined the customer purpose and brand positioning, whilst delivering a step change to the approach to cross-channel communications between brands.

Previously, Ms Porter was marketing director at Dunelm where she drove growth in brand awareness and raising the profile of the brand's range, with strong commercial results and prior to that she held several senior brand and marketing positions at Tesco and Vodafone.

ProCook CEO and founder Daniel O'Neill said: "As the business continues to grow, we've reached a point where we will benefit immensely from bringing in an experienced CMO who can help drive us forward to new highs.

"It's easy to understand why Angela has had the success in her career to date - she's a very dynamic personality, passionate about customers and someone I'm really looking forward to working with."

Ms Porter said: "I have been lucky enough in my career to work with great brands led by inspiring individuals so joining the executive leadership team at ProCook feels like a natural fit for me.

"My true passion lies in helping brands cut through the noise to reach their customer in creative and inspiring ways, and there is no better place to execute this approach than at a direct-to-consumer brand like ProCook.

"I've watched ProCook's rise for some time now and I'm delighted to join at such an exciting stage in its journey."
