Prima extends its leadership team

Quedgeley-based Prima Dental Group has bolstered its executive leadership team (ELT) with two new members.

The dental instrument manufacturer made the appointments in line with its continued success - as the world's leading dental bur (drill) manufacturer - and alongside an ambitious growth strategy.

David Creed, chief financial officer, and Paulo Raquel, chief operating officer, join the existing ELT members; Richard Muller, group executive chair, Alun Jones, group managing director, and Dan Hodgson, chief commercial officer.

David joined Prima Dental Group in 2018 as group financial controller, before being promoted to head of finance last year. The former Swansea University business economics graduate has a range of experience gained across professional services, manufacturing and pharmaceutical organisations, bringing a progressive outlook to his new leadership role.

Paulo, a new hire, takes on responsibility for the trading and operational performance of Prima Dental UK operations. With an impressive background in engineering, quality and operations in leading multinational companies, he brings a wealth of experience to the business and the ELT.

Alun Jones, group managing director, said: "We are delighted to welcome David and Paulo to our leadership team. We are extremely fortunate to have such a dynamic and talented ELT. These new appointments will add to the more than 50 years of experience we have between Richard, Dan and myself here at Prima.

"The extended leadership team will support our mission in the pursuit of better, as we aim to forge ahead with our future growth plans. It's a very exciting time for Prima Dental Group."
