Prestbury resurfacing next month

Resurfacing will go ahead in Prestbury next month. Works will take place along Southam Road from the mini roundabout where the B4632 meets Noverton Lane and High Street north to Mill Lane.

It's all part of the county council's £150 million investment in Gloucestershire's Highways. The route has been selected because it is a popular link between Prestbury and Cleeve Hill, and the road surface is coming to the end of its useful life.

So that the work can go ahead safely, a road closure will be in place from 11th-14th December. The road will only be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm to minimise disruption.

Access to the housing developments via Noverton Lane will be closed during work hours. The county council and contractor Amey will be writing to residents with information on how to access their properties during the work.

The diversion route will be signposted and will take in the B4632 to Toddington and the A435 to Cheltenham racecourse.
