Powerful networking group marks five years of growth

Five years in business is worth toasting - but when your business is networking and your membership boasts combined staff of 58,000 and turnover of £7.25blln, that really is worth celebrating.

Which brings us to Circle2Success - the corporate membership, networking and business relationship building organisation.

Founded in by Gloucestershire by Suzanne Hall-Gibbins and Angela Edwards the organisation now has also members in Worcestershire, Swindon, South Gloucestershire, Bristol and South Wales.

Suzanne said: "We thought there was a gap in the market for a proactive group that brought aspirational businesses together.

"We did market research with some leading businesses including Creed; Renishaw; BPE; Omega and Gillmans defining what that gap was.

"We are delighted with how far C2S has come and the fact that we have attracted members in new areas. We are growing all the time. The diversity of businesses and the geographical reach adds huge value to all members".

Working across all business sectors and every size of organisation, C2S has a clear strategy on how they promote and support its members.

From running informative, insightful and inspiring events to promoting its members throughout the year, it's also provides access to local, regional and national opportunities, cutting edge ideas and solutions.

Angela said: "The C2S business community work together, they collaborate, share knowledge, ideas and best practice.

"The extent to which businesses within the group do business together or even in some cases enter into partnerships has exceeded even our expectations."

Figures for its third quarter show traffic to its website has increased by almost 19 per cent to just over 28,000 visitors.

Jonathan Viney, sales director of recruitment finance and payroll services firm Simplicity, and a C2S member, said: "We have used Circle2Success to build our supplier network as we have grown our business to a turnover now in excess of £100 million.

"We work with over 20 C2S companies who we have developed strong relationships. We also take advantage of the fantastic events and visits which have helped me personally to develop my skills and those of key members of Simplicity staff."

Darren Stevens, managing director of Prestbury Marketing, said: "Networking and connecting with other local businesses is a core part of most organisations business development.

"In my opinion C2S has become THE organisation to join from this perspective with both the number and size of businesses involved but also its unique ability to enable you to meet senior executives from these businesses. We have recommended C2S to many of our clients and will continue to do so in the future."

C2S is also expanding its team. Former president of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber, Andrea Borwell-Fox, has just joined to head up the Worcestershire region.

"She is fantastic addition to the team," said Angela.

C2S has sector specific offerings for construction and engineering and functional specific focus groups for HR and cyber.

It has recently moved headquarters, on the site of C2S members ILEC IMEC in Cheltenham.

Company visits for members have included trips to Dunkerton's Cider and Sibling Gin, Gymshark, Morgan Motor company, Hinkley Point B&C, Tesla, Bristol Port, Renishaw Manufacturing Technology Centre, Mazak and Spirax Sarco.
