Police van rammed off the road

Gloucestershire police are appealing for dashcam footage of a small white van involved in an incident in which a police van was rammed off the road.

It happened on Stoke Road, Bishop's Cleeve at around 2.30pm last Friday (30 November).

The police vehicle was responding to an incident and was on the way to Bishop's Cleeve when a van that was being overtaken rammed the police van off the road and into a ditch.

The vehicle responsible is described as a white car-derived van such as a Renault Kangoo. It could possibly be another make such as a Peugeot or Citroen and is believed to be a mid-2000s model.

A police spokesperson said: "Although both officers in the vehicle were uninjured this could have been far worse.

"We're looking for anyone who saw the van or who has dashcam footage of the van so if you were in the Stoke Road or A435 area at the time and believe you may have a relevant clip please check what you have captured before deleting it and contact us.

"Someone who is willing to do this needs to be identified."

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident 266 of 30 November.
