Police investigating violent incident find a gun

Police officers investigating last month's incident of violent disorder at the Chase Lane Industrial Estate, Gloucester have now located a firearm.

On 12 November the police were called to reports of a stabbing where a firearm had also been discharged.

Following a police search as part of the investigation into this incident officers located a weapon in Gloucester on Thursday 7 December.

Acting Detective Inspector Alistair Hammett of the Major Crime and Investigation Team said: "Incidents where weapons such as firearms are used are extremely concerning so we are very pleased to take another dangerous weapon off of our streets.

"Since the incident last month we have arrested 12 people and we are working around the clock to identify anyone else who may have been involved.

"If anybody has any information which could help with our current wanted appeal or investigation please call police or call Crimestoppers where you can remain anonymous."
