Police arrest man after alleged rape of teenager

Police have arrested a 44 year old man on suspicion of raping a teenaged boy in a Gloucester car park two months ago.

The 17 year old youth was allegedly raped at about 6pm in St Michael's Square on Sunday, August 26.

Police say the 44 year old suspect was interviewed on Oct 17th and then released on bail pending further enquiries.

The alleged incident is being investigated by specialist detectives from the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) team in the Public Protection Bureau.
