Police appeal for witnesses of gym equipment theft

Police are appealing for the public's help to identify thieves who stole a large amount of gym equipment from a Newent Leisure Centre.

Officers were called to a report of a burglary at the centre at around 10.30am where it was found that unknown offenders had forced entry and stolen a number of spin bikes, dumbells and rowing machines.

CCTV shows two men forcing entry at 11.56pm on Friday 15 January and leaving with the stolen items at 2am on 16 January.

Following police investigations officers are now asking the public if they witnesses any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact police on 101 quoting incident 139 of 17 January.
