Police appeal after man - and person who tried to help - are assaulted in Cheltenham

Police are appealing for the victims of an assault in Cheltenham town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning to come forward.
An incident in Regent Street saw one man attacked and another who tried to intervene assaulted.
Three men, a pair of 20-year-olds from Churchdown and Gloucester and a 19-year-old from Innsworth were arrested in connection with the incident and later released under investigation.
In a statement, Gloucestershire Police said: "The incident happened at about 4am yesterday, Sunday, August 18, in Regent Street where three men attacked another, punching and kicking him when he was on the ground.
"Another man tried to intervene and was also assaulted.
"Officers would like to speak to the victims and are appealing for them to come forward.
"They would also like to speak to a woman who had also tried to intervene and may have witnessed what triggered the incident.
"She is described as being about 5ft 8ins tall, with long hair and wearing a white top and blue jeans.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 77 of August 18."
