Police appeal for witnesses after fatal crash on A40 in Gloucestershire

A man died following a collision on the A40 near Northleach on Sunday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, which occurred at around 9.05am. It involved a lorry and a car.

The driver of the car, who was in his 50s suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The road remained closed for much of Sunday to allow officer to carry out a full collision investigation.

In a statement, Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "Collison investigators would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 155 of 28 July."
