Police are appealing for information after burglars targeted what is believed to be the oldest public house in the county.
The burglary took place at Ye OIde Black Bear Pub on Tewkesbury High Street during the early hours of Saturday morning (19 October).
The historic timber-framed pub which has been serving customers for more than 700 years is not long re-opened after a long period stood empty.
"It's believed that a group of two to three youths gained entry to the pub before leaving with a quantity of cash and alcohol which included large bottles of spirits/mixers as well as Red Bull and liqueurs," said a statement from Gloucestershire Constabulary.
Ye Olde Black Bear on the junction of Tewkesbury's High Street and Mythe Road on the banks of the River Avon has a sign on its outside claiming a history dating back to 1308.
English Heritage question that, saying that it probably dates back to an even earlier date.
It is not long reopened after a lengthy period of closure with locals fearing for its future until Rags UK Ltd - a company registered in Ross-on-Wye - applied for planning permission to renovate the building in December last year.
Anyone who witnessed this taking place or has any information that may help enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting incident 276 of 19 October.
