Police appeal after knife-point robbery

Police officers in Cheltenham are appealing for information to help identify a man who they believe was involved in a knife point robbery at a shop in St Pauls on Thursday morning.

The incident is believed to have taken place at the junction of Swindon Road and Baker Street at around 8.20am.

A man entered a shop before threatening an employee with a knife and leaving with money and cigarettes.

The offender is described as being a white man of large build who was wearing a baseball cap, black trainers, black jeans and a black puffer jacket with the hood up.

He had facial hair and was carrying a bright green plastic bag. It's believed that he left in the direction of Swindon Road.

Gloucestershire Constabulary are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man matching this description in the area to call 101 quoting incident 63 of 30 May.
