Appeal for help after homophobic abuse at Cheltenham shop

Officers investigating an incident of homophobic abuse in Cheltenham have issued a CCTV image of a woman they would like to identify in connection with this.

Police received a report of the incident at Sainsbury's Local on Cirencester Road at around 7pm on Thursday, February 20.

It was reported the woman approached two men doing their food shopping when a comment was made and an item was thrown at them.

The men were not physically hurt during the incident.

Officers have been unable to identify the woman and are asking for the public's help.

Anyone who recognises the woman or knows who she may be is asked to call 101 quoting incident 433 of February 20.
