Police appeal after fatal traffic collision near Lydney

A man in his 50s died after his vehicle collided with a tree near Lydney on Thursday evening.

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the incident on the B4231 Bream road.

Police were called by the ambulance service shortly before 5.05pm on Thursday evening after reports of a vehicle hitting the tree.

In a statement, Gloucestershire Police said: "A collision investigation is underway and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to make contact.

"Information can be given by calling police on 101 and quoting incident 362 of 23 January."
