Police appeal after boy raped in Gloucester

An appeal for witnesses and information has been made after a boy was raped near Gloucester city centre in broad daylight.

The 17-year-old was attacked in St Michael's Square, off Brunswick Road, at about 6pm on Sunday, August 26.

The offender is described as a black man, aged 40 to 50, about 5ft 8ins tall, with a beard/moustache, and short black hair.

He was wearing a black hat and beige trousers and was carrying two carrier bags.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 292 of August 26.
