Pied Piper charity launches two June fundraiser events
By Punchline Reporter | 4th May 2023

A weekend in June sees two Pied Piper Appeal events at the charity's HQ at Highnam Court, raising funds for sick and disabled children in the county with a brand new live music event followed by its annual classic cars and gardens show. Tickets are now on sale via the charity website.

On Saturday 10 June, it's Pied Piper Live - the first musical concert of its kind for the charity, featuring two superb live acts in the grounds.
The gates open at 3 pm with DJ sets from Pied Piper's own Si Ellis. There will be plenty of food and drink stalls or visitors can take their own picnics. To shelter from the elements, guests can even hire a spacious gazebo pitch for £100 but need to take their own gazebo.
Bootleg Abba is the first tribute band on stage from 6 pm until 7.30 pm and performing all the songs that we know and love!
The second act is Queen One Vision who start at 8.00 pm.
The bar and event close at 10.00 pm
Tickets are £25.00 for adults and £5.00 for children U14.
Parking is plentiful and free plus there are designated taxi drop off / pick up points.
The following day on Sunday 11 June, Highnam Court hosts the annual Classic Cars, Trucks and Gardens show.
There is much to see and do with over 200 classic cars on show plus go-karting, steam train rides, and many other attractions for all ages. Big trucks of all shapes and sizes are a popular attraction with an HGV training simulator to try.
The gardens and lake areas are beautiful and extensive, boasting stunning new horticultural features for 2023 and well worth a wander.
Nick Broady, chairman of the Pied Piper, said: "It's the first time we have held a live concert and it promises to be a wonderful 'party in the park' for all, so get your dancing shoes on. We are expecting a couple of thousand music lovers to come along.
"Our popular classic car show is back on the following day, Sunday. Last year we had over 3,500 people come to Highnam and this year is set to be bigger and better, a traditional summer family day out. Lots to see and do with an extensive food and drink court, a vintage tea and cake stall and a grand raffle.
"We must thank our headline sponsors Malvern Tyres and APM Fire & Security for helping the charity to stage both the concert and car show across the June weekend. Many other local businesses are also donating their time and services, we are very grateful."
The Sunday car show is for all the family and opens from 10 am until 4.00 pm.
Tickets are £10pp for adults with children U16 free and free parking.
There are also opportunities for local businesses to showcase their companies. Find out more through the charity office.
Tickets can be purchased online at the charity's website.
