Phenomenal growth for Gloucestershire heritage brand

A brand launched in 2008 with a handful of miniskirts has seen growth of 48 per cent in just a year.

Cheltenham-based heritage fashion brand, Holland Cooper, saw sales of £22.7 million in the last year, with retail revenue growth of 42 per cent and wholesale revenue growth of 82 per cent. The brand has seen a five-year average annual growth rate of 57 per cent per annum.

To commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Holland Cooper has launched a limited-edition capsule collection, showcasing some of its most iconic styles. All of the pieces are hand-cut and manufactured in the UK from traditional Scottish wools. In a nod to the Jubilee, they include platinum-plated hardware and are lined in a rich purple satin.

Holland Cooper has also been selected to appear in the Jubilee Commemorative Album. The publication will provide a unique glimpse into Her Majesty's decades of service and will showcase a range of organisations selected for their contributions to culture, society, technology and business.

Holland Cooper was selected to appear for its support of British manufacturing and features in a four-page editorial with founder, Jade Holland Cooper.

Jade Holland, founder and managing director, said: "British tailoring, constructed in the old-fashioned way, is at the heart of my business and is synonymous with royal occasions. Our Jubilee collection celebrates the timeless classics, breathing love and life into heritage fabrics and transforming them with sharp cuts and beautiful trims.

"The Platinum Jubilee Pageant and Album is a celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's 70 years of service and will provide a unique record for millions of people across the globe. I am incredibly proud to support and mark the occasion."

It's not Holland Cooper's first time in the royal spotlight. Earlier this year, the brand hit the headlines when the Duchess of Cambridge wore a Holland Cooper jumper to read the CBeebies bedtime story on TV.

The brand has come a long way from its launch at Badminton Horse Trails in 2008, with 30 miniskirts on a two-metre stand.
