Pet shop giant in management buyout

Kester Capital has backed a management buyout of Jollyes Retail Group, the pet shop chain.

Jollyes has more than 70 stores and concessions including an outlet at Gloucester's Westgate Retail Park.

Retail Gazette reports that the pet retailer, founded in 1935, plans to expand its network of stores and services.

David Hutchinson will become CEO, having held a number of senior executive roles in retail businesses in the UK and overseas.
