Paralympian and rugby legend add star names to business’s cycling team

Staff at a county firm will put aside peddling their wares to pedal themselves around the Cotswolds as part of a charity cycling challenge sponsored by Sky no less.

A team from the Staverton-based business will take part in Hospitality Action's 'Le Tour de Cuisine' - The Cotswold Cycle Challenge sponsored by Technogym and that name synonymous with cycling at the highest level - Sky.

Rugby legend Phil Vickery MBE and Paralympian Mel Nicholls will be joining the Creed Foodservice team.

In all 15 members of Creed's executive team, senior management team and workforce, have all agreed to step up to the challenge and hit the Cotswold roads to raise funds.

Established in 1837, Hospitality Action, the Hospitality Industry Benevolent Organisation, has offered vital assistance and help to hospitality workers in the UK and who find themselves in crisis.

The charity supports people suffering from life-altering illnesses, experiencing poverty, bereavement and domestic violence; retired from the industry who may be isolated

The money Hospitality Action raises goes towards grants for essential items including food, equipment and central heating, supporting our often isolated and lonely retired hospitality workers, running educational seminars advising catering students of the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
