Pair accused of importing herbal cannabis

Two men, one of them from Holland, are to stand trial at Gloucester crown court accused of importing about a third of a million pounds worth of herbal cannabis into the UK at Cirencester last month.

Mohammed Abdulrehman, 25, of Golbourne Ave, Manchester, and Frans Lader, 50, of Voorschoten in the Netherlands are charged that between 28th and 30th Oct at Cirencester they conspired with others to evade the prohibition on import of 141 kilos of herbal cannabis.

At a hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates court on 31st October both men were remanded in custody pending a first appearance at Gloucester crown court on Nov 30.
