Next to cut Joules jobs
By Sarah Wood | 26th April 2023
Next has launched a consultation with Joules staff, with job losses looking likely.
The retail giant said a number of tasks performed by Joules staff could now be absorbed into its own teams or are no longer be needed, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Next hasn't said how many jobs are at risk, but confirmed it will work with those affected to ensure that they are considered for suitable vacancies at its head office, which is located close to Joules' own headquarters in Market Harborough.
It is thought remaining Joules senior management, marketing and product teams will continue to work from its existing offices.
Next bought the fashion brand out of administration for £34 million at the end of last year.
The retailer took on 100 stores, including those in Gloucester and Cirencester, saving almost 1,500 jobs across stores and head office. But the brand's Cheltenham store was one of the few which closed immediately.
Next anticipates big cost savings for Joules through its total platform.
The retailer intends to launch Joules' total platform site in October, much earlier than its original launch date of March 2024.
